What Is Diana Jenkins’ Book ‘Room 23’ On ‘RHOBH’? What To Know

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is picking up steam in its 12th season, with plenty of drama to go around. There’s the ongoing Sutton Stracke and Crystal Kung Minkoff feudand then Garcelle Beauvais and Erika Jayne’s fight. And now, newcomer Diana Jenkins is suddenly getting a lot of buzz for…a coffee table book called Room 23.

The book, which is bizarrely selling for $500 on Amazon right now, is discussed on the most recent episode of RHOBH. And those chats are bringing up some seriously *intense* rumors about Diana that she has been carefully shooting down.

Now, you may be asking yourself, how does a coffee table book create housewives drama? And what does it have to do with Diana Jenkins? Well, the answer is pretty complicated. Buckle up.

What is Room 23?

Room 23 is a 384-page coffee table book Diana wrote that has a lot of intimate photography of famous stars between its pages. “Room 23 depicts a year in the life of a private penthouse suite in a hotel in Beverly Hills, California,” a synopsis on Amazon reads.

“The year is 2008. The protagonists: Hollywood’s characters and elite”. The host: Diana Jenkins. The photographer: Deborah Anderson. The photographs glamorously unveil the story of what takes place behind these closed doors in provocative and intimate images.”

And when I say provocative, I mean it. Lisa Rinnaa fellow housewife, actually posed for the book and posted the risqué pics on her IG.

Who is featured in the book?

When did Diana write it?

The photographs in the book were shot in 2008, and it was released in 2009. Diana held a launch party that was written up in the Los Angeles Times (fancy!) and a ton of famous people attended the event. Proceeds from book sales went to charity. Her site says funds specifically went to “human rights projects.”

Why did it come up on ‘RHOBH’?

OK, so: There are very old rumors that Diana’s book was “a catalog of clients and call girls,” per a blind item in a 2012 Jezebel article. And for the record, Diana has adamantly denied it. In early May, she specifically responded to an online comment about the rumors, which included claims that she appeared in a photo with disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein and former President Donald Trump. (It’s not her, Diana says it’s a woman named Ingrid Seynhaeven.)

“When these man were doing whatever they were doing I was broke ass refugee in London with no passport no name no country no family no one to help me,” Diana wrote on Instagram. “Surviving on [barely] any food. Sending whatever I could to my parents in Bosnia to survive. Working 3 jobs to put myself to college. … Woman in the picture is Ingrid Seynhaeven – Victoria Secret Angel Party – Laura Bell Club in NYC April of 1997.”

Lisa Rinna also brought the book up on last night’s episode: She asked the other women: “Have you guys seen her [Diana’s] book, Room 23?” The Sun reported.

Erika Jayne responded that it was “really sexy.” But Diana didn’t want to talk about. At all.

Oh, and one of the RHOBH Producers flat-out asked Diana about the rumors surrounding the book on the show.

Here’s what Diana said: “I don’t particularly want to talk about the book tonight because it took a lot of money, a lot of time to achieve what I did, but it backfired. All these rumors started, it was like an offense of my character,” per The Sun.

What else has Diana said about the book?

Diana said on RHOBH that the rumors are “very, very dangerous. All you need to do is leave a bunch of fake rumors and you can actually destroy somebody’s life.”

She ended on this note: “It was just a very painful time, but truth prevailed. Everybody knows now.”
